For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to “change the world.” At the time I decided that, I didn’t even know what that truly meant. To be honest, I still am trying to figure that out. Every Q & A I listened to or person I talked to, I would try to find the answer. Well, living does something to ya and answers usually aren’t just given to us. Life is amazing and has taught me so much but the best thing I have learned is how to change the world. It isn’t the answer I expected, like going to another country and building them homes. Or curing people from cancer and giving money to the poor. Those things are incredible, but they are only a temporary fix to a world that may look full of despair. 

How cool would it be if we could look through the Lord’s eyes and see what HE focuses on. I believe that he focuses on each of us as individuals rather than us as a world. 

And that is the answer. 

The way to change the world isn’t by changing all of it, it's by changing individuals. 

I have watched as people see the world in a whole different way when they accept the gospel into their lives. By merely feeling a touch of the light of Christ, it changes something. It may be small, it may just be a start, but it does create change. 

The purpose of the gospel is to bring us to Christ. Our brother, Jesus Christ, lives for each and every one of us. We will return to our Father in Heaven. We are forgiven for our human mistakes. We are loved infinitely. We are given direction, guidance, perspective, love, peace, comfort and hope. We hold knowledge of the special and individual relationship we hold with our father. We are able to go through storms with a promise of light at the end. We are promised a happy ending. All worry can go away when we look to Christ. 

This is the plan of HAPPINESS!

So to align with my purpose of wanting to change the world, how could I bear to not go serve the individuals that my Father has waiting for me? What a privilege to be able to go on a mission and fully dedicate every breathing moment to changing individuals.

I know it is not me, but I am just the Lord’s hands that will create change.

The gospel changes the world by changing individuals. I know it has changed me and will continue to do so.

I can’t wait to hold the purpose of happiness, of joy, of change… all through the Lord’s hands by sharing his miraculous gospel.
